EyeSpeak Student Manual:

Lesson Selector:
This area of the User Profile tab will only appear once a student has logged in.
In the lesson selector, EyeSpeak's lessons are divided into two groups: Vowel Lessons, including monophthong lessons and diphthong lessons, and Consonant Lessons.

The lessons are ordered so that the lessons involving distinctions that speakers with the same native language as the student usually find most difficult appear near the top of the list.

To the left of each lesson appears the symbol for each of the two speech sounds that appear in that lesson. If the student has practiced the speech sound, a star may appear to the right of the symbol. The star represents at what level the student has mastered that speech sound:

A bronze star means the student has mastered the speech sound at level one.

A silver star means the student has mastered the speech sound at level two.

A gold star means the student has mastered the speech sound at level three.

If the student has practiced the speech sound but has not yet mastered it at any level, no star will appear.

The student can begin practicing a lesson by double-clicking it or by selecting it by clicking on it and then either clicking the Begin lesson button beneath the list or clicking the Sound Lesson tab.
