EyeSpeak Student Manual:

Words:
This area of the Word Lesson will only appear once you have has recorded yourself saying a word.
The sound buttons appear in two rows.

The first row contains the sounds of the Teacher saying the word. Click on Teacher to hear the Teacher say the whole word, or click on one of the symbol buttons to hear the Teacher say only the part of the word represented by that symbol.

The second row contains the sounds of you saying the word. Click on Student to hear yourself say the whole word, or click on one of the symbol buttons to hear yourself say only the part of the word represented by that symbol, and to view information on that part of the word.

Teacher's symbols appear in black. Your symbols appear in green if you scored over 50% for that sound and in red if the score for the sound was under 50%.

Hold the mouse over the symbol to see both instructions on how to improve pronunciation of the sound, and a score for the sound. If the sound was pronounced very well there will be no instructions.

Above the two rows of buttons the word is spelled out a third time. Most symbols will be black; one will be green. The green symbol represents the current sound. This is the sound that the main display, the length bar and the mouth pictures are giving information on.

To the left of the sound buttons you can select how much of the word you wish to hear when a sound button is clicked. Select Single speech sound to hear only one sound, or Syllable to hear the whole syllable that the sound is in.
