SPECIFICATIONS


EyeSpeak is new, different and effective. This genuinely smart software package gives you personalised feedback on your pronunciation and tells you how you can improve your speaking skills rapidly. Just follow the advice of your personal tutor and look at the graph analysing your pronunciation. You will be able to practise your pronunciation through a variety of exercises that will also develop your listening skills. This unique method of providing individual visual feedback will help you achieve your potential.

Hardware requirements

EyeSpeak works best on computers with 128MB of RAM or greater, and processor speeds of 400MHz or higher. 700MB of hard disk space is required, largely due to EyeSpeak's audio and visual resources.

A USB headset is highly recommended for the best results.

Software requirements

EyeSpeak runs only on Windows operating systems. It runs on Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

EyeSpeak uses the .NET Framework. To use the .NET framework your computer must have Internet Explorer 5.01 or greater installed.

The minimum screen resolution required for running EyeSpeak is 800x600. However 1024x768 or higher is recommended.


Networking

EyeSpeak's student data can be stored in a central location on a network so that it can be accessed by any computer on the network which runs EyeSpeak. Instructions on how to set up the database for this can be found under EyeSpeak\Database\MSDE\Networking.txt on the EyeSpeak installation disk.

EyeSpeak cannot be stored entirely over a network because the delays associated with loading and analysing sound files over a network are too great.
