In my capacity as Director of Studies at Excel English Language College, I have had the opportunity to use the EyeSpeak Software package on the computers in our computer laboratory. This programme has proved very popular with the students as it provides instant feedback in several forms and students can see appreciable progress being made. They also enjoyed the fact that the programme seems to recognise them as individuals and to keep a record of their development.

Teachers have also found it useful, both as a teaching tool and as a way of helping students with their individual pronunciation difficulties without using up valuable classroom time. An added bonus is the feature which enables teachers to set individual lessons for the students and to check on how the students are progressing and any improvement that has been made.

I personally have found this programme to be better in all aspects of interactive pronunciation practice than others I have seen in my 12 years of EFL experience, teaching in the UK, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Australasia. It is a very exciting tool and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to other language schools, universities or indeed individuals to help them improve their pronunciation.
